GRADE EQUIVALENCIES

Tec de Monterrey uses a numerical scale for evaluation. The following table shows an approximate correspondence in letter based grading systems.

At Tec de Monterrey, 70 is the minimum passing grade.

Credit is only given for courses with a grade of 70 or higher.

Courses not passed will also appear on each student's transcript.

The actual equivalency used to credit each student at the end of their semester abroad is specific to each university and was determined in conjunction with Tec de Monterrey.

ACADEMIC LOAD

The full academic load at Tec is 18 credits.

Each Tec credit represents

  • 15 hours of lecture
  • 5 hours of supervised learning activities
  • 20 hours of independent study
